WSOS Senior Programs provide a variety of services to the seniors. Local senior centers offer meals, informational seminars and various activities. Transportation services are provided to Seniors, the general public, or other organizations through contracts with TRIPS. Over 500 nutritional lunches that meet USDA requirements are prepared by WSOS and distributed at Senior Centers as well as transported to homebound seniors. Residents of Ottawa and Sandusky County who care for their sick or elderly loved ones can find support through the Caregiver Support program operated by WSOS's Senior Programs in partnership with community organizations. |

Food Service
Nutritional lunches that meet USDA requirements are prepared by the WSOS Kitchen located at the Stricker Family Development Center. Food Service prepares over 275 hot lunches for senior citizens per day that are distributed at Senior Centers as well as transported to homebound seniors. In addition, meals and/or snacks are prepared by Food Service for multiple children locations: Jordan Center in Bowling Green, Stricker Family Development Center, Sandusky County Juvenile Detention Center, Tiffin and Bellevue Child Development Centers, Northcentral Ohio Educational Service Center and Opportunity Center in Tiffin, and Angies ANgels Day Care Center.
Food Service is available to contract with other organizations that may need a steady nutritional lunch program. One example of a recent collaboration would be lunches provided for Sandco participants during the summer months while their kitchen was closed.
