WSOS provides comprehensive family development, workforce development, education and child care assistance and other support services to families and individuals desiring to obtain basic needs stability, greater independence and self sufficiency.
Staff help families prepare for successful employment opportunities. We help individuals gain and retain employment with benefits, provide follow up services to ensure long term job retention and build community partnerships to support these efforts.
This is addressed through basic needs financial assistance programs, family and workforce development activities including case management, life skills, educational and vocational development and individual counseling.

What is WSOS Family Child Care?
It is a unique child care service for Head Start children. It is designed for incomeeligible 3- to 5-year-olds with or without special needs. WSOS works with certifiedin-home providers to offer a wonderful preschool experience.
These providers are trained by Child Development staff, and learning materials are supplied by WSOS.Families may use the service up to 20 hours per week.
A Family Qualifies If ...
Parents are working and/or involved with a training program
Parents meet income guidelines
An application is completed for each child to use the service
Kids complete a physical and dental exam and have up-to-date immunizations
A World of Growth and Fun!
Speech and hearing screenings
General development screening
Educational experiences such as music, stories, and dramtic play
