Healthier Buckeye Program

Overview


The Sandusky County Healthier Buckeye Program seeks to help individuals and families achieve financial independence. Program staff will work with clients to develop personalized plans for attaining self-sufficiency through career training, financial literacy, parenting education and other services.

Benefits


The program partners with clients to develop individualized plans, address challenges and set goals so that they may become more economically stable.

Services may include:

  • GED preparation
  • Career coaching and career readiness
  • Education assistance
  • Job-seeking, career placement and job retention assistance
  • Parenting classes
  • Wraparound services and case management
  • Referrals to area services
  • Other services as needed


Eligibility Requirements


The Healthier Buckeye Program is open to Sandusky County residents at or below 200% of the poverty level.

In particular, those who are already receiving assistance such as Medicaid or SNAP benefits through Sandusky County Department of Job and Family Services can benefit from the Healthier Buckeye Program.
