Head Start (HS) Home-based Program - 3 to 4 yrs. old

Category: Children / Youth

Overview

Families enrolled in this program receive a 90 minute home visit each week. The Home-based teacher guides the parent as they learn skills to help their child grow and develop. Children and parents also participate in two group socialization experiences each month. This provides an opportunity for the children to develop social skills and parents to network with each other.

Benefits

Children will receive school readiness experiences as well as developmental screenings and assessments. Medical, mental health, nutrition, and dental services are also provided. Families will have opportunities for parenting education, referrals to community resources, and volunteer experiences. Our philosophy stresses positive self-esteem to promote growth of each child - and parent!

Eligibility Requirements

All families with children 3 to 4 years old are encouraged to apply. While eligibility is based on federal poverty guidelines, we will look at each family’s situation and assist them in finding the best option for their family’s circumstances. Children with special needs are always welcome!
