Early Head Start (EHS) Home-based Program - Birth to 3 yrs. old

Overview

Families enrolled in this program receive a 90 minute home visit each week. The Home-based teacher guides the parent as they learn skills to help their child grow and develop. We provide hands on learning experiences for children and their parents. Children and parents also participate in two group socialization experiences each month. This provides an opportunity for the children to develop social skills and parents to network with each other.

Early Head Start is designed to reinforce and respond to the unique strengths and needs of each individual child and family. The mission is to enhance the development of very young children and promote healthy family functioning. This includes comprehensive medical, mental health and disability services for children with special needs.

Eligibility Requirements

All families with children birth to 3 years old are encouraged to apply. While eligibility is based on federal poverty guidelines, we will look at each family’s situation and assist them in finding the best option for their family’s circumstances. Children with special needs are always welcome!
