Sandusky River Watershed Coalition

Category: Community Development

The Sandusky River Watershed Coalition is an association of individuals and organizations concerned with and/or affected by the protection and enhancement of the water resources in the Sandusky River Watershed. The program provides leadership for the conservation and enhancement of the Sandusky River Watershed and its natural resources through community-based planning, education, and action. The Coalition focuses on action oriented projects involving agricultural producers, local industries, local government, and individual homeowners to promote the use of management practices that will reduce pollution in our streams.

One of the main benefits of the Sandusky River Watershed Coalition (SRWC) is the protection of the Sandusky River, which serves a multitude of purposes including a drinking water supply for over 100,000 residents, recreational activities, and habitat for a multitude of species.
If you or the organization you represent are concerned with protecting and enhancing the resources of the Sandusky River Watershed area, or are affected by programs directed toward those objectives, get involved with the coalition. Become a member, and attend coalition events and meetings. All general and committee meetings are open to the public, whether or not you are a SRWC member. Add your voice to the planning and implementation of programs that protect and improve our local water resources.
