Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP)

Category: Home Rehabilitation

Overview


HWAP is a residential energy efficiency program that reduces the energy use of qualified households. It is a free program to income-eligible households.

Benefits


  • Energy efficiency education
  • Attic, wall and basement insulation
  • Air leakage reduction
  • Heating system repairs or replacements
  • Electrical measures that address lighting and appliance efficiency

People enjoy a more comfortable, safer and healthier home that costs less to live in.

At no cost, the household could receive:

  • New Furnace
  • Insulation- attic, floor, walls, pipes, ducts
  • Energy efficient light bulbs
  • Refrigerator
  • New energy efficient water measures (low flow showerheads, aerators, hot water heater blanket)
  • Consumer Education
