Water well class to share maintenance tips with well owners

Learn more about how your water well works and how to protect your drinking water at The Private Well Class, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3.

The free class takes place at the Seneca County Public Safety Building, 100 Hopewell Ave., Tiffin.

All private well owners as well as those planning to install a new well are encouraged to attend and learn how proper placement and maintenance of a well can extend the lifetime of a well.

The course covers types of wells, strategies for maintaining water quality, considerations for well placement, and other important topics. Included in the program is a live webinar as well as information pertinent to local well-users.

The program is hosted by Rural Community Assistance Program (RCAP) Ohio and the Sandusky River Watershed Coalition, both programs administered by WSOS Community Action Commission, the Seneca County Health District, and Heidelberg University’s National Center for Water Quality Research.
