Free Tax Clinic set now near you
Residents who earned less than $57,000 in 2009 can file their income taxes for free at any WSOS Community Action Commission offices.
Clinics for Sandusky County have been set for February 8 and 17, March 6, 18 and 29, and April 5 and 15; Seneca County: February 3 and 23, March 3, 20 and 23, April 7 and 13 at WSOS offices at 455-A E. Market St. Tiffin; Fostoria: February 18, March 9 and 31, and April 9 from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. at WSOS offices at 801 Kirk St., Fostoria; Wood County: February 6, 10 and 25, March 15 and 25, April 6, 10 and 14 at WSOS offices at 812 N. College St., Bowling Green; and Ottawa County: February 1, 11 and 20, March 1 and 11, April 8 and 12 at WSOS offices Sutton Center, 1854 E. Perry St., Port Clinton.
Each weekday clinic begins runs from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. while the Saturday clinics run from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The clinics will be conducted at WSOS offices at 109 S. Front St., Fremont.
Residents can file their federal and state taxes, claim the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Child Tax Credit all in one convenient location with the assistance of a trained counselor – and all at no cost to the individual.
This service has no preparation/refund/administrative/or other fees or charges, and provides e-filing capability for refunds in as few as seven days.
To use this service, applicants will need to have with them, at the time of filing, a government-issued identification, your social security number(s), your W-2s, 1099s, or 1098s, all other information regarding other income such as alimony or child support etc., all deduction and credit information, and 2008’s (last year’s) income tax return (if available).
In addition, all information is completely confidential. This service is provided through the Ohio Benefit Bank operated by WSOS.
