Clyde seniors welcome new supervisor

Beginning January 4, Jody Kapp will be directing activities at the WSOS Senior Center in Clyde. She replaces Troy Brubaker, who resigned in October.

“I am looking forward to getting to know the seniors in Clyde and working with all of them to make the Clyde Senior Center even better for them,” Kapp said. “Please feel free to give me ideas and suggestions to help make our center great!”

An Oak Harbor resident, Kapp has been married to Joe for the past two years and they live in rural Oak Harbor with their seven-month-old son, Wade.

Kapp graduated from Oak Harbor High School and Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in Child, Family and Community Services. After graduation, she worked as a substitute teacher in several area school districts, and most recently was the preschool teacher at the WSOS Child Development Center in Genoa.

Kapp and her husband also have a yellow lab, Daisy, who had puppies recently. Together they are involved at their church as well as with the 4-H and county fair programs in Ottawa County. Along with his parents and Joe’s brother, the couple operates a farm as do many of their relatives. They also raise cattle for freezer beef.

Community residents are invited to stop by and visit with Kapp and the seniors at the center. For information on the services at the senior center, call Kapp at 419-547-8052.
