Ohio Supreme Court justice coming to senior center

Ohio Supreme Court Justice Sharon Kennedy will visit the Fremont Senior Center on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 12:30 p.m.

Kennedy will speak on her role on the Ohio Supreme Court. She will also speak on the topic of veterans’ courts, which are courts designed to meet the specific needs of veterans by addressing mental illness, combat-related stress, substance abuse and other concerns related to military service.

Sandusky County Veteran Service Office executive director and service officer Jake Allison will also talk about the county’s role in assisting veterans and veteran mentoring. Allison will speak at noon prior to Kennedy’s presentation.

Those who are interested in attending should RSVP by calling the Fremont Senior Center at 419-334-8181.  Lunch will be served at the senior center at 11:30 a.m. and should also be reserved at least 24 hours in advance by calling the center.
