Summer Crisis Program ends Aug. 31

Help is still available for area residents who need help with cooling assistance.

WSOS Community Action Commission will continue to offer the Summer Crisis Program—which provides eligible Ohioans with payment assistance for electric bills, central air conditioning repairs and other cooling needs—now through August 31, 2018.

The Summer Crisis Program helps low-income households with an older household member (60 years and older) or households in which a cooling assistance is needed for a household member’s health. Those enrolled in the Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) Plus program are not eligible for payment assistance, but are encouraged to work with WSOS to find other opportunities for assistance if needed. WSOS provides summer cooling assistance to residents of Wood, Sandusky, Ottawa and Seneca County.
