Gibsonburg Senior Expo coming June 28

See what the Gibsonburg area has to offer for seniors at the upcoming Gibsonburg Senior Expo on June 28.

The event takes place 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 S. Brentwood Dr., Gibsonburg. There is no cost to attend.

“We hope the expo shows visitors that there are many organizations and services of interest to seniors in our area,” WSOS Gibsonburg Site Supervisor Gary Carr said.

Local businesses, organizations, care providers and more will be on site with information about products and services that benefit seniors. The event also includes a special presentation at 11 a.m. from Rex Postlethwait and Mark Albright of the Northcoast Veterans Museum in Gibsonburg to speak on local military history. A traveling exhibit from the museum will also be on display.

Free health screenings will also be offered.

The expo will also feature CarFit safety checks. CarFit provides a professional review of seniors’ vehicles to verify that mirrors, seats and other automobile features are adjusted properly, and also offers other vehicle safety checks.

Lunch will be available for $3 with proceeds benefiting Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Door prizes will be given at 1 p.m.

The event is hosted by Elmwood Assisted Living Facility, Parkmont Wealth, ProMedica Home Health & Hospice, St. Catherine’s Manor of Fostoria, and WSOS Community Action Commission.
