Beat the heat with TRIPS public transportation

As warmer weather approaches, TRIPS reminds Sandusky County residents that public transportation is available for those who want to beat the heat when running errands, going shopping, or traveling to other destinations.

TRIPS offers low-rate rides ranging from $2-$4 per one-way trip, depending on the location of transport within Sandusky County. TRIPS can also provide no-cost rides for some senior passengers. Riders must schedule rides 24 hours in advance and allow a 30-minute window of pick-up for departure.

“TRIPS can be very helpful for those who don’t live within short, easy walking distance from shopping centers or other businesses,” Transportation Director Jacquie Wells said. “For those who don’t have access to their own transportation, TRIPS is available for hot summer days when temperatures are not ideal for walking or being outside for an extended period of time.”

For more information or to schedule a ride with TRIPS, call 419-332-8091.
