Winter utility assistance program ends for season March 30

WSOS Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program (EHEAP) will come to an end for 2017-2018 winter season on March 30.

Funding is still available for Wood, Sandusky, Ottawa and Seneca County residents who are facing a utility shut off, or to assist those whose bulk fuel supplies are running low. To qualify, households must be threatened with disconnection, have been disconnected or have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel. Households must also have a gross income at or below 175 percent of the federal poverty level (e.g. $43,050/family of four).

Those in need of assistance should schedule an appointment soon before EHEAP ends for the year.

Walk-in dates for EHEAP will be available March 30, 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. in Fremont at the WSOS Community Action Commission office, 109 S. Front St., and in Bowling Green at Jordan Family Development Center, 812 N. College Drive. Normal walk-in days for EHEAP assistance will also be available throughout the month on Tuesdays in Fremont and Thursdays in Bowling Green.
